Glioma is a central nervous system primary tumor with the highest incidence rate and mortality. At present, despite timely comprehensive treatment, glioma still has poor prognosis and high recurrence rate, especially for high-grade glioma. Metabolic reprogramming is one of the prominent features of cancer, especially in glioma. Like the Warburg effect and glutamine decomposition, lipid metabolism is heavily reprogrammed in cancer. In glioma, the regulation of related enzymes and proteins in the process of lipid metabolism, such as monoacylglycerol lipase, fatty acid binding protein and sterol regulatory element binding protein, can provide new targets for glioma treatment.
